Creek Clean-up volunteers needed

Help preserve the Big Creek Watershed for all of us!

Saturday, June 2, 2012 is the 14th Annual Big Creek Watershed Clean-up from 9am-noon.  We will meet in Brookfield Park at 9am and disburse supplies and instructions before heading off to various sites in the neighborhood.

Join volunteers young and old in cleaning debris from our Chevy Branch of the Big Creek, which flows to the Cuyahoga River and finally to Lake Erie.    Besides picking up trash, volunteers will also have the opportunity to remove invasive plant species like garlic mustard from targeted watershed locations.

If you would like to volunteer on June 2nd or throughout the year in the watershed improvement projects, contact Rachel Napolitano at 216-671-2710 ext. 216 and check out the annual clean-up event webpage here.

We preserve, enhance, and create ecologically important areas at the annual creek clean-up and planting days.
