From the article:

““I was so pleased by the positive attitudes and interest,” an employer wrote anonymously. “Youth were dressed ready to interview and were very professional.”

“‘More than 85 students from 22 different schools attended. There they met with 23 area employers, as well as five different community organizations offering opportunities for community service, said Nancy Baxter,’ BPDC’s youth development director and West Park MyCOM coordinator.

Among the participating employers were Marshalls, Walmart, T.J. Maxx, Cleveland Public Library, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and pools, Marriott Hotels, the Plain Dealer and Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. Community service opportunities included Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, Bountiful Basement and Fairview Hospital.

In January and February, 60 students attended a dozen workshops and participated in mock interviews by local professionals including Luz Perez, human resource director at the Cleveland Airport Marriott; Kris Tabor, branch manager of the PNC Bank at 15100 Puritas; and Ward 18 Councilman Marty Sweeney.”
