Youth make a difference… day

2015 MyCom Small

Seven youth spent their Saturday, October 24, 2015 on Make a Difference Day repainting the preschool room at the West Park Family YMCA. Otherwise a colorful and kid-friendly space, the pre-school room’s white cinder block walls were cold and unwelcoming, and desperately in need of some sprucing up. The youth got straight to work cleaning the walls, taping off the floor and ceiling, and painting multiple coats of calming blue and purple paint on the walls. At the end of the day, a beautiful freshly painted room was ready to welcome the children back on Monday morning!

This project was made possible through a partnership with the West Park YMCA, Hands On Northeast Ohio, MyCom, and Bellaire Puritas Development Corporation. Thank you YMCA!

John Marshall School of Civic & Business Leadership organized a clean-up around the school for their service project and shared these photos with us:
