Join the Friends of Jefferson Park on Saturday, December 3rd from 4-7 p.m. for wholesome family fun for all ages as we celebrate the winter season! New this year is the Winter Parade, celebrating the approaching holidays, seasonal change, lighting of Lorain Avenue, our neighborhood’s cultural diversity and our beloved Jefferson Park.
The Winterfest afterparty is at Der Braumeister for food, fun and winter drinks after 7 p.m.
Locations: Der Braumeister Restaurant (13046 Lorain Ave at W 131st St.) and Jefferson Park at 3501-3691 W 133rd St.
4 p.m.: We are inviting friends and neighbors to gather at Der Braumeister to prepare for our winter parade. Be sure to dress up in your favorite winter attire celebrating your winter holiday and culture.
5 p.m.: Parade commences at Der Braumeister using sidewalks while following traffic laws to and around the park. The Winterfest Parade will end at the center of Jefferson Park for our Annual tree lighting. Join us in caroling as we celebrate this most beautiful time of the year.
5:30 p.m.: Annual tree lighting under the Jefferson Park gazebo. Neighbors are asked to bring a dozen cookies to share afterwards and enjoy music and maybe even snow man building! Neighborhood Coffee Business ‘Coffee Drop’ will be brewing coffee for purchase. The door-decorating contest winners from around the park will receive dinner for two at Der Braumeister!
