The Peanuts Movie at dusk
A neighborhood tradition, the Ice Crime Social provides a good time for young and old with a free movie outside and free ice cream novelties for the kid in everyone. As the official event for the First District Police Community Relations Board, there will be hot dogs for children, in addition to the free popcorn for all during the movie.
Bring a lawn chair every 1st Tuesday of August, meet some neighbors, find youth resources and safety resources, and have some fun in McGowan Park, at McGowan Ave. and W. 123rd St.
We suggest enjoying dinner on W. 130th St. and Lorain before walking to the park!
Contact Melissa Miller, BPDC’s Neighborhood Planning Coordinator, for more information on volunteering or participating at this evening in the park that is a celebration of the National Night Out Against Crime. She can also be reached at 216-671-2710 ext. 214.
BPDC puts on this fun, community-building event to: improve community pride and access to parks; build relationships between residents and between residents and local safety forces; create opportunities for positive intergenerational and family interaction; and model grassroots efforts residents and businesses can replicate throughout the neighborhood.
