BPDC values its residents whether they live in single-family homes, apartments, townhomes, duplexes, or managed housing.  We partner to rehab existing structures and we offer existing property owners technical assistance and access to an array of programs and services to complement their lifestyle choice in order to maintain or improve the quality of housing in our West Park neighborhoods.

Housing Development

We strive to make a noteworthy contribution to the West Park housing market. Turning a nationally failing market around one house at a time is a monumental task.

 

Whether it’s constructing new housing, facilitating property owner reinvestment, or making an empty house up-to-date and occupied, housing development is something CDC’s are charged to do.

DSC00965We work with proven local housing developers to rehab foreclosed homes acquired by the Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation, commonly known as the Cuyahoga Land Bank (CCLRC). Borrowing from the CCLRC”s website:

the CLRCC “is the result of innovative thought being put into action and work hard every day to live up to the reputation we have earned as the most progressive entity in the country dedicated to eliminating vacant, blighted properties and returning them to productive use.”

BPDC’s goal is to put the house back into productive use in less than 12 months’ time.
